The militarization of local police departments continues, this time in the New Hampshire town of Keene (pop. 23,000) which saw all of 2 murders since 1999.
We are now living in a police state. Those whose job is to “protect and serve” the community are now armed with weapons, training, and tactics reserved for special military forces. We are now seeing images of police brutality in the United States reminiscent of the tactics currently being employed on protesters in Tahrir Square. This is not what America stands for.
